I'm reviewing as the one who sleeps in it. I've moved in with my 90 year old father to take care of him. Space is at a premium, so when I remodeled the back room for my studio work there wasn't space for a bed. In the past 5 months, I've been through all sorts of sleep setups and wound up sleeping in a chair or on the floor most of the time for my back. Stay away from the canvas bottom beds. They are only acceptable as camp cots for a night or two - even with an additional pad or mattress.
This bed has a solid metal wire & spring support system (which can be made less 'soft' with wood or cardboard - but is very comfy), and the mattress with its inner coils and padded top offers great support as well. I'm 6'/250lbs and sleep very comfortably on this bed; usually on my side - but is comfy on the back too (and I do need support sitting or sleeping). Unlike many of the beds I've tried, you... He thinks is great having a real matress to sleep on.
