Perfect for little travelers (and their parents)!, September 1, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PeaPod Plus -- P204 Sagebrush and ** BONUS ** Rockin' Green Soap and Tooth Tissues! (Baby Product) We purchased the Peapod Plus for a 9 day road trip with our 2 year old. After traveling with both our children over the years I really don't like hotel porta cribs. You just never know what you will end up with. I wanted a safe, comfortable place for my toddler to sleep where he would feel secure every night. The Peapod Plus is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It is light weight, small to pack, roomy and comfortable for my little one to sleep in and he loves having his own little "tent". I also plan to use this for visits to Nana and Papas!

Suffocation risk - a 5 month old baby died in a Peapod, March 27, 2012 This review is from: PeaPod Plus -- P204 Sagebrush and ** BONUS ** Rockin' Green Soap and Tooth Tissues! (Baby Product) I learned today about the death of a 5 month old son of a member of our twin's club. She wrote, "on Dec. 23 my son died of 'positional asphyxiation' - he suffocated while sleeping in his PeaPod Travel Crib. Yesterday I spoke with Dr. Jessica French, the medical examiner who conducted my son's autopsy, and while it will take a few more weeks for the results to be finalized, she can say now that he suffocated, and did not die of SIDS. The PeaPod Travel Crib has non-breathable lower siding." The mother concludes, "I asked Dr. French if [my son] would still be alive if I had not put him in the PeaPod Crib and she said yes, he would be. He was a healthy, thriving, beautiful baby boy."
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is nearly finished with its investigation and she expects that the company will be asked to recall the product, but she don't know how things will unfold yet. In the meantime, she hopes that by sharing this information she can save another baby's life... Read more
