I have 6 of these, 3 have leaked-badly (the ones with kids who have occassional accidents). 2 matresses have been soiled and Southern textiles put the responsibility back on me. Did you use bleach washing it? What temp was your dryer? I cared for the product exactly according to their instructions. They replaced the leaky protectors and even one of those leaked. I have to use their chemical products to clean my matresses before they will even consider replacing them, if at all, and I am told that they will probably not, by their warranties dept.
Another problem with the protectors is that the elastic sides rip, 4 have done this, of the 6 I own. The rip starts with a small whole but eventually shreds, making it very difficult to put on to the matress.
I spent way to much money on this product. Hopefully you wont.

Most would ruin my night's sleep, making me toss and turn because I felt really hot and sweaty. This product breathes. It feels as if its not really even on the mattress.
We have a child and cats. There have been several times that this product has been tested, and it has worked perfectly each time. We have a pillow-top mattress that is difficult to clean if it gets stained. This product has saved us quite a bit of cleaning time, and simply saved our mattress from needing replacement.

The first one had become a little torn on the corners due to moving it with the protector on the mattress. Don't do that. I bought this brand again because I thought it worked the best. It had the features I was looking for in that it protects against bed bugs and is a moisture barrier, and it doesn't encase the entire mattress. It fits well and is extremely comfortable to sleep on (with sheets on the bed too, of course). I'd buy it again.
